GOP’s prospects in a nutshell.
Voting fraud in Russia and things of that nature make me seriously thankful to be an American. Here’s to Ray Charles and America the Beautiful.

Here is one cartoonist’s take on Putin’s recent victory. Notice the highlighting of the words “fair” and “honest”. Putin twice used “honest” and once “fair” to describe the elections, something atypical of a politician to do in a victory speech.

Despite anger and a rash of protests at Putin’s cheating ways, it appears as though many citizens have resigned themselves to his presidency. I found an applicable Russian proverb, “We hoped things would be better, but they turned out like always.”
6 more years of Putin? Looks like it. Putin pushed his vote getting up from 50 percent to 64 percent, despite the fact that he would have won anyways. Opposition group the League of Voters is quoted as saying “The institution of the Russian presidency, the electoral system andd the whole state authority were discredited.”
Hilarious Colbert segment. Honestly, the fact that Rush Limbaugh has been not only tolerated but supported on air for years is appalling; this, however, is the lowest he has stooped. Not only were his comments incredibly crass and total slander, he was just dead wrong. Also, he only apologized to retain advertising, and his apology extended only as far as to say sorry for calling her a “slut” and “prostitute”. And to top it off he didn’t even use the right name. It’s Sandra Fluke, not Susan.
